Meet The Kathryn Grace School in Columbia, Maryland. It is the mission of this independent school to provide a private high school experience for teens and young adults aged 14-21 with Down syndrome and other intellectual and developmental differences. Their mission is to provide students with an opportunity to dream, aspire and succeed.

Kathryn Grace School aims to provide a high school program that includes family, student, and staff collaboration in the development of a learning plan that provides an individualized experience that will enrich academic skills, life skills, vocational skills, and community engagement.

A July grant submission approval for our third round, their grant request was for $20,000.00 to renovate and update the existing Culinary Lab and instructional kitchen space, an essential component of the educational program for high school students and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

FCIDD is grateful to have the opportunity to partner and provide resources to the Kathryn Grace School, and applaud them on their purpose. Enjoy their newsletter below that highlights the Culinary Lab!
