The FCIDD & YOU: Making Possibilities Happen!

We begin every year with plans, then the year changes them.
As we move into the holiday season, we're reminded that possibilities need, among other things, engaged, committed communities to see those possibilities become reality. This has been a challenging year in I/DD for researchers, service providers, families, and individuals who depend on the support of these engaged, committed communities. And through the generosity of a host of people through the years, the FCIDD has been able to provide support to many.
Yet the needs at this time in our history are growing, at the same time that cutting-edge research, engaged leaders, and grassroots movements are in place to address those needs. It takes another group, donors, to do the work of equipping those efforts so that those on the front lines and those most affected have the stability and flexibility to continue the progress of possibilities to realities.
As November moves along, we at the FCIDD want to continue celebrating the dreams and efforts of those working hard to support, encourage, and help build an equitable society for those with disabilities, and those who nurture them. We celebrate through our blog posts focusing on these workers, we celebrate through the hundreds of thousands of dollars distributed every few months in grants, and we celebrate by inviting each one of our supporters and readers to join in this great work.
Moving into a season where many are drawn to acts of thanks and acts of giving, we encourage each of you to keep in mind the work going on all around you, and the people who seek your partnership through giving to I/DD causes on the local and national level. If you need ideas, this website is full of amazing groups bringing their efforts and dreams to bear who would love your support. If you're not sure where you specifically want to give, we'd love to have you partner with us, either by giving us a call or emailing us if you have questions, or clicking the "Donate Now" button at the top of the page.
We're working hard to do our part, but we can't do it alone. That's why we say: "The FCIDD & YOU: Making Possibilities Happen."
