One of the most unique aspects of the Foundation is the “feet on the ground” aspect of partnership with local Civitan Clubs, and their volunteers who are at the front lines of support of those in their community with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The new Participating Club Grant, implemented in FY25, allowed 14 Civitan Clubs who are active participants with the FCIDD to support the I/DD organizations with whom they partner locally. Congratulations to the recipients and many thanks to the clubs who chose to participate in the Foundation. The FY26 sign-up link for Civitan clubs interested in being FCIDD Participating Clubs is HERE.

Participating Civitan Club and Non-Profit Beneficiary

Any Civitan Club, recognized by Civitan International, and located in Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia, or West Virginia, regardless of what region the club may be assigned to by Civitan International, can apply to participate in the Foundation and be eligible for an annual $2000 donation to support the local partnering nonprofits of said club. A participating club agrees to have at least one club representative on an FCIDD committee or a club representative to serve on the Board of Directors, attending three online meetings this fiscal year (November 13, April 16, and September 10). For that, your club can award $2,000 to your favorite local I/DD-focused non-profit, award $500 grants on behalf of new members, and sponsor non-profits for our larger project grants. Don't miss this great chance to promote your club and serve your community!
