The Foundation is proud to have partnered with ServiceSource and the Fairfax Civitan Club to assist in the restoration of a long-time dairy farm on parkland (Frying Pan Farm Park) in Fairfax County to serve as a satellite location for the ServiceSource Long-Term Community Integration Services (LTCIS) program.
The building's integration into Frying Pan Farm Park provides opportunities for participants in ServiceSource’s LTCIS program to tend a garden, interact with farm animals, serve as guides for tours of the historic house and participate in a variety of other therapeutic and recreational activities. In addition, the Blossom Café and Bloom Gift Shop located in the building will provide opportunities for employment.

These ADA-compliant improvements include an elevator to greatly improve accessibility, and incorporated green building designs. Upon completion of the renovations, up to 15 adults with disabilities will be offered employment through an onsite café and handcrafts specialty store. Participants will also support activities within Frying Pan Park, fostering a welcoming community for all.

Making Possibilities Happen to Do More At Ellmore
FCIDD granted funds that, together with so many others in the community, raised over $600,000 in capital for ServiceSource to complete renovations and open the program to continue serving people with disabilities in the community. The elevator increases opportunities for inclusion for the entire population!
