Kareem’s Mission is a Pennsylvania-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving individuals with autism and other intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and the families who support them. They exist to build a community within the community—where individuals are supported as whole people, their strengths are recognized, and barriers to participation are reduced through inclusive, sensory-informed programming. Introduced to FCIDD by the Capital Region Participating Club, Kareem's Mission was the recipient of a $98,000 grant to provide equipment program enhancements.

Operating from their Autism Community Center (in partnership with Central Penn College in Enola, PA), Kareem’s Mission provides structured programs that support regulation, independence, and life readiness. Services include behavioral interventions and skill-building supports, youth and teen programming, family navigation and care-giver stabilization, therapeutic arts (music and expressive arts), life-skills development, sensory regulation environments, and community education.

Over the past year, Kareem’s Mission has directly served more than 2,000+ individuals and families through in-person programming and has reached more than 6,000+ families through digital education initiatives (KMission TV and

KMission Parents TV, both on YouTube). Many of the individuals they serve have autism, intellectual disability, Down syndrome, and/or dual diagnoses that include sensory processing needs or co-occurring behavioral health challenges.

Their guiding belief is: "See the Able, Not the Label", and their programs are built to help individuals with I/DD thrive with dignity, structure, and belonging. FCIDD is proud to partner with Kareem's Mission as they enhance their programming.
