"Making Possibilities Happen". Our tag line, but more importantly, what the foundation's grantmaking for the cause of Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities was designed for from its inception. Whether it is actual construction of facilities or specific areas that are designed to make the lives of those with IDD better, or the vehicle to transport those who need it to those facilities. We fund programs designed to provide workplace experience and jobs for those with neurodivergent skills, grants to enhance accessibility for all who desire to gain entrance to theatre and arts. Below, a few examples of completed projects for which we are very proud to be the funding partner.
Congratulations to Penn-Mar organization for the grand opening of their Westminster building and the Smart Kitchen construction which was funded by the FCIDD, and sponsored for submission by FCIDD Participating Clubs in Baltimore and in Carroll County.
A Gift of Smiles located in Pennsylvania shared with us that the grant funds allowed them to purchase new dental equipment including AEDs, digital scanners, and a 3D printer, as well as make improvements to the clinic's waiting room and operating room to better serve patients with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This grant was sponsored for submission by an FCIDD Participating Club in the Capital Region of Harrisburg, PA.
PEATC (Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center) , held their PYE (Parent and Youth Empowerment) Summit in September of 2025 in Williamsburg, VA. While PEATC offers services to students with disabilities and their families in Virginia from birth to age 26, the PYE Summit is designed for youth ages 14-22 with an IEP and their families to gain information that can help them to navigate SPED and disability related services when it comes to preparing for life after high school and adulthood. The Foundation has provided funding for this event for two years, and is proud to ensure families have access to this important information. Tommy McNulty was 59 upon his passing - and the McNulty family would be proud to know that his legacy of assistance to all ages of IDD individuals continues. The PEATC grant was sponsored for submission by the FCIDD Participating Club in the Peninsula area of Virginia.
