Participating Civitan Clubs: Act Now to Grant $2000 to the I/DD-Focused Local Nonprofit of Your Choice!

There are currently 19 FCIDD Participating Clubs in our 15 state service area. Congratulations to the five clubs who have already taken advantage of their annual opportunity to provide an I/DD 501 c 3 of their choice with $2000. for FY26.
The Capital Region club supported the Shiremanstown Historical Society in their Community in Motion project to provide enhanced accessibility.
The Peninsula Area club supported Access Virginia's Arts for All Winter program in Hampton Roads, Virginia. The program is open to people with varying disabilities including those with autism to provide them with an opportunity to enjoy the arts with a live theater showing of Purlie. Purlie is a lively comedic musical/play by Ossie Davis.
The Thomas Jefferson club supported Kindness Cafe + Play in Charlottesville in their plans to expand to a second location on Rugby Road with outdoor seating in an aesthetically pleasing landscaped environment very near the UVA rotunda!

The Northern Shenandoah club supported ICAN2, a Stephens City, Virginia-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to empowering, training, and employing adults with developmental disabilities (such as autism and Down syndrome) in the Shenandoah Valley.
The Baltimore club supported The Sky is the Limit Creative Arts Programming an inclusive community theater in Baltimore, Maryland, designed for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). The program offers acting, singing, dancing, and stagecraft classes, culminating in full musical productions that empower participants to build confidence, make friends, and develop life skills
Participating club grant submissions begin here, and for FY26 are acccepted until 9/30/26. The monthly deadline is the 28th of each month for presentation to the Executive Committee in the next month's meeting.
