Congratulations to Our Dream Pursuits, Inc., on their grand opening this past weekend, launching their food truck business that hires and trains IDD individuals for employment in Frederick, Maryland. The nonprofit was founded in 2014 by Bev Shaffer, who envisioned a future where individuals with IDD can actively pursue their aspirations with unwavering determination.

"This concession trailer symbolizes the gateway to a world of independence, skill mastery, and economic inclusion for those we are privileged to serve. "

Through a $48,000 grant from the FCIDD and $2,000 from the Frederick Civitan Club, Our Dream Pursuits, Inc. was able to purchase and outfit the concession trailer and work commenced on Saturday May 17 with the grand opening in Frederick, MD. The trailer will allow the organization to further its mission and reach within the communities it serves!
