Foundation Prepares for October 1 2026 Grant Deadline

It would seem that one of the "best kept secrets" in the nonprofit IDD world is less so and we could not be more pleased. The current July submission grant cycle has 18 submissions awaiting final approval, and October 1 is the first grant cycle of our new fiscal year. Grant submissions are October 1, March 1, and July 1 of each fiscal year.

The October 1 deadline is one that allows submissions with the support of FCIDD participating Civitan clubs. Information is available on our website, in the grants section. The process is such that we suggest, if you are seeking a grant for October or next March, you allow for at least an eight-week period of introduction to a club and submission of a grant. July 1 grants include IDD those nonprofits who have yet to partner with a club.

It is telling that budget are currently strained for all nonprofits, but specifically those who serve the neurodivergent and differently abled. Inquiries are coming in daily and our submissions have doubled. The Foundation is most fortunate for the foresight of Tom & Mary McNulty as without their, and their son, Tommy's, bequests, we would not be in the position to address a doubling in submissions. We also stand on the shoulders of so many Civitan volunteers who kept the lights on and grants being processed for over 75 years. We are well on our way to "making possibilities happen" for so many more IDD organizations and programs. Our gratitude for the partnerships we have made, continue to steward and those in our future.
